Bio:  I wasn't born yesterday just the day before. I am a Self Declared Freelance Graphic Designer- Yes it was a choice not by necessity...I'll explain that in a blog one day. I have over 13 years of experience in the industry with a degree in creative arts,a paper of attestation in advertising and 2 yrs. of graphic design school with an equilvalency of on the job experience as a professional graphic designer. I learned my business savy from working with my father over many years of summer jobs and holidays. He was also a self- starter(not even a highschool graduate and had a million dollar business may he R.I.P.) I'm also a beaming graduate of the school of hard knocks. Worked in a Grocery store during the day and achieved my paper of attestation in Advertising at night school. Did freelance on the side...knowing really nothing about the business side of this specialized field at the time. Worked my way through art school working in an art store, then fresh out of design school I ran the reproduction department for almost 3 yrs. Good thing that we did learn the basics of repro techniques at school even then I had to pick up the manuals for the equipment and figure it all out on my own...there was no one to train me when I took over the department. I did lazer copies and collating, computer graphics-mostly business cards, flyers and brochures. Photo scanning and color retouching, cleanup, negs, lino & stats on a vacum frame, color separations and color match prints. I even worked on a danagraph 5000(really big camera) producing films from camera ready artwork, processing film on a R.A.P.(rapid access processor) I did chromatecs too...now that was fun (screenprinted, ink transfers). Eventually these experienced led to other full time jobs and freelancing on the side working on just about any kind of project... untill I finally decided to go Freelance full time...talk about an oxymoron.
Interests:  Dah I like art, books and love realy old stuff like documents, photos, tools of the trade and personal history stuff.
